Just recently, Amazon has announced great news that their Kindle e-reader will have a price drop of over 50% from its original price of $399 when it was introduced in November of 2007. The markdown price to $189 from the latest price drop of $259 could be Amazon’s marketing strategy to boost its sales in the advent of the newest offering of Apple, the iPad that was a phenomenal release and with has almost unparalleled sales performance figures. As said, Kindle was first priced at $399 then lowered to $359. There are also three version of Amazon Kindle. The first was what launched in 2007, the second version was in February 2009 with more memory and longer batter life and the last and third version which is what in the market still was released in May 2009 that was priced 489 since it has a larger screen and optimized to display textbooks and newspapers.

For some who doesn’t know what an Amazon Kindle is, Amazon Kindle is an electronic book reader made and sold by Amazon.com. This e-reader uses an electronic ink display technology that mimics the experience of reading black letters on white paper. Panasonic’s First 3-D TV Set

Japan’s Panasonic Cortp. revealed the price of their first 3-D TV set last Wednesday and it is said to amount at around $3000. The cost is for a 50-inch plasma set, one pair of glasses and a 3-D Blu-ray player.

This is Panasonic’s answer for the recent announcement of their South Korean competitor Samsung Corp. saying that their 3-D TV set will sell for $3,000 wherein buyers get a 46-inch set, two pairs of glasses, a 3-D Blu-ray player and a 3-D copy of “Monsters vs. Aliens.” There’s also a 55-inch set available but it’s $3,300 for the set alone.

LG Electronics and Sony Corp. will also be releasing their 3-D TV Sets this summer as studios are starting to rush in putting out 3-D movie discs.
