Kodak recently announced their newest addition to the digital camera product line – the z980 megazoom shooter with 24x optical zoom. The z980 has a 12-megapixel sensor and HD video capture.

What’s new with this product is the vertical grip that’s was once known to be only for dSLRs. It has another shutter button that facilitates taking pictures in portrait orientation. To complete the package, the Z980 comes with a hotshoe for external flashlights.

This shooter is said to be released by March with a retail price of $399.95.
